Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains what tryptz ("we") collects when you use the Tryptify app, a Tryptify account and Tryptify Cloud, and what we do with it. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
The app
The Tryptify app keeps your library, settings and listening history on your phone. It sends data elsewhere only for features you turn on: signing in to sync favourites and playlists, scrobbling to Last.fm or ListenBrainz, showing what you play on Discord, connecting your own music server, or using Tryptify Cloud. Each of those services receives only what the feature needs.
Your Tryptify account
When you sign in we receive your email address and an account id, and your name and picture if you sign in with Google. Accounts are run on Supabase.
Tryptify Cloud
- Your music: the files you upload, their tags (title, artist, album and so on) and their covers, stored so we can stream them back to you.
- Your plan: which plan you have, until when it is paid, your storage use, and the customer and subscription ids from our payment provider.
- Device sign-ins: a random password per device that plays your library, with the device's name (for example its model).
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs (such as IP address and time) to keep the service running and secure.
Your files and library data are stored with Cloudflare (R2 storage and D1 database).
Payments
Payments are handled by Creem (creem.io), our merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number; Creem tells us only whether you paid, for which plan and until when.
How long we keep it
Your music and library are deleted 7 days after your plan ends (2 days after a refund or chargeback), or sooner if you ask. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion, by writing to support@tryptify.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights, including to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Tryptify Cloud is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app or by email before it applies.
